GardenImage from Munich is one of the leading producers of pictures and editorial features around the topics of gardens, plants, botanics and floristry. The unique and diverse image portfolio is complemented by the work of successful and skilled photographers who portray the most beautiful seasonal gardens and plants throughout Europe.
In addition to our extensive image archive of over 130,000 images, we have a team of photographers, stylists and gardeners who are constantly producing specialist shoots throughout the year within our in-house photo nursery. One of the secrets of the collection’s success is the professional keywording. All images are tagged by specialists with botanical and Latin terms, and in many cases, additional information such as care instructions or background knowledge is also provided. The website supports image users with intelligent search filters and many other specialised functions in their search for the perfect picture. The garden picture agency GardenImage, founded by the photographer Friedrich Strauss, who turned his hobby into a profession in the 1980s. With the support of his wife Dagmar and his team of experienced gardeners and photographers, he built up a unique garden picture collection.
In 2017, Image Professionals GmbH, a subsidiary of Hubert Burda Media, took over the marketing of GardenImage. United under one roof, you will find leading international specialist picture agencies on the topics of food, living, beauty, science, medicine & health, gardens and travel.
